Power of Positivity

Just letting you know now, I love quotes! Especially Mr. Rogers and Winnie the Pooh. I’m including the link for this particular article that I saw on Power of Positivity as it is about kindness and self-worth and so many other positive thoughts. “Sometimes, it only takes only a positive attitude in life to see the vast opportunities for inventive thinking, love, and exciting experiences.” Everyone has something that is painful for them to overcome, whether a physical pain, mental pain, a friend’s pain, especially a family member’s pain. Water

So, I’ve been bored with drinking so much plain ole water. Boring. Then I remembered Victoria’s solution to jazz up water: apple slices and a cinnamon stick – so refreshing! You should try it. I also like cucumber slices in my water or orange mint leaves. I’d love to hear other suggestions to jazz up water – please share some ideas!

I’m purging my closet and drawers – want to join in?

I LOVE to purge! It’s so refreshing to me, lightens my load and believe me, my load can be heavy. Living with chronic pain and inoperable desmoid tumors is a lot to carry on my shoulders. However, purging really does make me happy and it’s a great distraction from chronic pain. I’m donating gently worn, professional-type (aka business casual) clothes, blazers, outerwear, shoes, and accessories (scarfs and belts) to a cool organization called Year Up, right here in Philly. It’s a one year program for 18-24 year old’s that don’t have the means to head straight to college but want to better themselves. They can even earn up to 24 college credits! And are guaranteed interships with Fortune 500 companies! Just click on Year Up above and head to the website!

Started new chemo today! by denise

So, I am starting a new drug to see if this one will shrink my desmoid tumors. I’m excited but don’t want to get my hopes up. I was on Tamoxifen 40 mg/day and the tumors remained stable for over a year. I need shrinkage so my surgeon can go into my small intestines and bypass the fistulas that are causing me so much pain and trouble. Fingers crossed!
